Tips on Preventing Premature Aging

Aging is the process in which we all go through. However, there is a thing called premature aging. Premature aging happens when the skin ages and looks older not in accord to the right age. The signs of premature aging are wrinkles, fine lines, saggy skin and other skin disorder one acquires at ages 40 and above. The factors of having premature aging are too much exposure to the free radicals that surrounds us and heredity.

Free radicals contribute to premature aging as it penetrates the skin and damages it. These are free radicals such as dust, smoke from the cars, and constant exposure to the ultra violet rays of the sun. Free radicals like dust and dirt sticks to the skin and will penetrate and be absorb thus resulting to clogging of the skin. When they penetrate the skin they can pass through the pores blocking it and then kill all the cells they come in contact with. Whenever this happen our skin turns dry thus premature aging occurs.

The ultra violet rays on the other hand damage the skin due to its hotness. Too much exposure dries up the skin. Dry skin turns saggy and losses its elasticity and firmness. When our skin turns this way wrinkles and fine lines form and usually when we have premature aging we end up having low self confidence.

There are plenty of methods to avoid premature aging. These methods are very achievable accompanied with discipline and persistence.

Here are some tips on how to prevent premature skin aging:

Complete and right amount of rest – Rest is very important for our body. Too much pressure and stress can also be the cause of premature aging. When we are having rest, the skin begins to regenerate and avoid damaging factors such as free radicals.

Diet – Nutritious and foods with vitamins are very important to our health. It is a must for us to avoid fatty and oily foods as this also will damage our skin. It is more suitable to eat foods rich in vitamins A, C, E and K. These vitamins are known to help and maintain the health of our skin.

Water intake – Water is vital for our body. This will hydrate every cell of our body and aid the flow of vitamins into the cells and it also aid in flushing out the free radicals or unwanted elements in our body and cell.

Protect the skin from the sun – Always apply sunscreen to protect the skin from the ultra violet rays of the sun.

We must always remember that prevention is always better than cure. Therefore, skin care is needed regardless of age, and with these tips a healthy and youthful skin is at hand.
